My "Nids"
Ok, so the mission was Kill Points and deployment was Dawn of War. Robert got the choice of sides and decided to go first. He deployed his Razorback and Rhino with his wolf Lord in Term. armor in it. I know that you can't deploy all of that in DoW, but it slipped my mind, and I didn't catch his Wolf Lord till later in the game, but since it was friendly I let it slide. He honestly thought that termies could ride in rhinos in the SW army. We looked up the term. armor war-gear and he learned something new. Now back to the game. I null deployed and that threw him for a loop as it denied him two full turns of shooting. He really wasn't expecting that.

TURN 1:
Robert moved everything on the board, he was screening his TW Cav. by running his Fenwolves in front of them. He then rolled for the run, nothing to shoot at, and bogged down everything with a run roll of "1" for the fen. wolves.
TURN 2:
Robert moved everything towards the center of the board trying to be conservative as he did not know what was going to happen as I had 3 deep-strikers, and an outflanking gene-stealers.
Turn 3 after Movement
My turn 2 I got in exactly half of my army. The Stealers showed up on the wrong side of the board. I dropped the Pod in close to his units. A fairly aggressive move, but I needed the Doom close to as many units for it to be a real threat. the Trygon droped in close and stuck in front of the Razor. The Razor was targeted by the 'Zopes, and made it smoke saves. The Trygon knocked off a HK from the Rhino. The Doom gained wounds from both of the Fen. Wolves and the pod knocked off another HK. The Fen. wolves took a ton of wounds, but Robert's dice were hot and made all but 2 of the 10 cover saves for the round.

The Lost Stealers. Another Cult meeting ran long...
TURN 3:
Robert the got out his hunters from the Rhinos to get rid of the Trygon breathing down his throat  Which he took out in the shooting phase, from 3 units. He then moved to set up a multi charge on the Doom with his TW Cav. and his Fen wolves. Who, by the way, gained 2 more wounds during Robert's shooting phase.Robert proceeded to target the Doom, but failed to do anything to her. During the assault phase  Robert charged the Doom and she held out gaining 2 more wounds, now a total of 10. Expletives were spewed by this roll of Fate. I rolled my reserves, and got in everything except my Swarmy, and my other 'Zopes.  So during my shooting phase the Doom struck again, taking off another 3 wounds from the Fen wolves, 2 from the TW Cav, the WL lead Fen. Wolf pack took 1. All in all good "shooting from the Doom. My 'Zopes took out the Razor, dumping the crew out.

TURN 4:
Robert moved away from the Doom this turn as to not get the big kiss of from her. His termies moved to charge the 'Zopes. During this shooting phase the Doom only did 1 wound, and that was saved on shield. He then charged the Doom with his WL lead Fenwolves, did 2 wounds to the Doom. The Doom recovered those wounds during her strikes. The Termies took out one of the 'Zopes. My turn 4 everything is in, and I set up a charge on his termies from my 'gaunts, 20 of them with poison and preferred enemy on 10. It could get nasty. My remaining 'Zopes came through a Trygon hole, and target the crew from the Razor in the open with their blasts. The Doom takes out 6 wounds on the TW Cav, leaving one with one wound , wipes the remaining Fen Wolves, and does 6 wounds to the WL.

Robert calls the game after this disasterous turn of rolling. The heart of his army has been taken out, but he is a good sport. It was a fun game and Robert learned a few ways to make his list a little better. Star of the game......THE DOOM

Well Stayed tuned in for the next batrep, as I play a 1500 point Blood Angels vs. the new Deathwing.

  1. Okay dude...
Did you forget that the Swarmlord allows for you to re-roll the side of outflank? Let the guy know that having a Wolf Lord with Saga of the Majesty will help alot with Leadership rolls. Lastly, Good report!
